Mettawee Valley Hemp is locally owned, and focused on building and preserving the community through sustainable, organic farming practices and accessibly priced products. We believe that everyone should have access to the benefits of Hemp.

Ben Mithoefer and Chris Bowlen were both raised in the Mettawee Valley with a respect for the environment. They attended college at Naropa University and Colorado University respectively where they studied Sustainability and Agriculture. Ben and Chris both returned to Southern Vermont, excited to share their experience and ingenuity with the local agricultural community.

The Mettawee Valley Hemp Company is located at the base of the historic Merck Forest Preserve in Southern Vermont. The farm is set on 24 acres at the beginning of the Mettawee Valley. Our fields are set at the base of the Merck Forest watershed providing pristine water for our crops. The fields are worked organically using cover crops and soil amendments. Mettawee Valley Hemp is proud to be utilizing historic Vermont dairy land.
